Right, so Transport for London need to save money and to do that they’re moving people from behind the ticket office onto the platform to be of better use. They’re also cutting jobs, though through not replacing people who leave their job, rather than compulsory retirement. Sounds fair to me, so why are union members striking? I can think of two reasons:

1. To irritate the government and make a stand against cuts that EVERYONE in the public service (aside from the NHS) has to endure.

2. Because less staff = less union members to pay Bob Crow’s huge £133,000 salary for bullying people.

As you may know, I love the Daily Mail for all their bigotry, racism, homophobia, xenophobia, sensationalism and bullshit but apparently I’m the only person in the world who hasn’t seen this video so it shouldn’t be anything new to you people! Anyway, enjoy:

Big Brother 2 winner Brian was the first to take part in the task – having to find a needle in a stack of needles, while remaining silent.

A founding member of ELO has been killed following a freak accident involving a giant bale of hay.

Mike Edwards, 62, who played cello for the band for three years, died when the giant bale weighing 50 stone crashed down on top of his van.

Mr Edwards died instantly in the accident after the bale careered down the hill, and flipped over a hedge.

What on earth? Let’s hope he’s remembered for his music and not this unusual way to go. Some die in their sleep, some die after fighting an illness and some die when hit by a rampaging barrel of hay.

Why do newspapers listen and report what Sally Bercow, the speaker’s wife tweets? Don’t get me wrong, as a person I like Sally Bercow, shes one of the few Labour women on Twitter that has a sense of humour but does her view on William Hague’s statement really require the Daily Mail to print it as a top story on their website? She’s hardly a minister, she lost out at the recent council elections and her husband is the politically neutral speaker of the House of Commons.

Come on people, her views are not news!
